Every day there are new things I detect in blender. Today “Asset Browser”
Regarding my project memory issue some weeks ago, I started cleaning up my project.
Now, using “Asset Browser” it is very easy to collect my different basic-house objects and all the things I need.
Next Step.
I tried a HDRI for the sky. The shades are not perfect for now. For the gardens I used particle and alpha image. The trees are made with “Sapling Tree” and some plants are from “BlenderKit”.
I’m still looking for some vegetable plants to complete the enviroment.
No more Plants. The gardens are finished so far. The next things I’am going to do are the laterns, road signs and finally the windows and curtains. Here is the other side of the street.
Finished last things and now I’d like to rework the street. At the moment I’m not so happy with the areas where the houses meet the dirty street. ( red arrows ) The houses are looking isolated to the enviroment. Any idea what could be a solution ?

That is exactly what I need. I’ll check “ambient occlussion” for my house bottom problem.
Your clues are allways a big help for me.

Today I made the first rendered picture with “Ambient Occlusion”. It’s cool !
Moreover I changed the street material and now there are the first new tire marks made with
“Bezier curve + Alpha image” → “Gimp” → “Displacement map”.
And finally the sun has its right position now.
my last steps were “Ambient Occlusion” at the bottom from the houses, some “Volume” cubes, “Depth of Field” and at the roof I changed the tile colour with “Geometry Nodes”. The compositing is almost ready. Maybe I’ll make a better version later.
after a while of doing a few other things at my project, I’m coming back to blender.
I’m using “Pannellum” as panoramic viewer at the homepage now. It comes with some nice features.

Now it’s time for the next POV and a newer version of Blender. For the last POV I used v3.3.12 but I’ld like to use v4.2.1. So I cleaned up my project and deleted unnessecary objects. Unfortunately it was no good decision using v4.2.1. All the time blender crashed and the textures were unusable. Finally I went back to v3.6.10 and I’m happy with this version so far.
I’m starting the next POV with the camera position, pattern houses and reworking existing houses and
I’ll hopfully use more GeoNodes, Arrays, und Instances.
By the way, the problem with the craches in 4.2.1 could be the “Asset Libraries Path” in my case.
I had that issue also im v 3.6.10 when I tried to use asset browser objects from 3.3.12.
After deleting this global path, no more crashes.
