Daily spaceship design for this year, though this time more like daily kitbashing using my own pack since didn’t get to do it last year due to it not finished yet.
Here are designs for day 1 - 5 (render + clay) :

~ Carrier with sideway launch bays, I think this one is the largest one so far
I quite like number 8. It has quite the functional look about it but also sleek at the same time.
Most of the others desisngs, although interesting feel too boxy?!
Then again, I have been watching the Expanse this week and there ships are very boxy which I found unusual. As most space themed Movies, TV series tend to be all sleek.

Well, I helped with the designs on the Expanse, so it’s not strange if you see some similarities in the style … just kidding ! 
Not sure with ‘boxy’, but if what you meant is there are lotsa protruding parts on the surface / body instead of wide smooth plating with less greebles, then the reason is that it’s the actual intended style / design.
Btw, the initial draft was actually less boxy and more sleek, these are few of the very first parts for the kitbash set :
Eventually went different way as I wanted a different style and also it seemed will have high polycount due to bevels and the plating parts. However there’s still chance that I will continue this style for different pack or theme later.
I have reassessed with a glancing microscopic analysis and determined No.10 is the only true ‘boxy’ version.
At the end of the day, if they serve there design purpose then ‘make it so’.

~ One of rare times where it turned up better than the concept in my brain

~ Bio-habitat with revolving spokes, not too happy with the arrangements

Usually just a few hours since it’s only kitbashing instead of creating from scratch. There are times when I didn’t feel too satisfied but decided to just finished it instead of restarting, though might want to slow down for the last one(s) later.

~ A flagship, spent the most time on this as it was the last one so wanted something more then the usual/others
Finally done ! 
Will make a collage for all ships with comparative scale next.
This final render provides a real sense of scale that we didnt get in the individual images. Nicelly done!

Btw, I wanted to have more visibility for all ships here, so some could be somewhat smaller (or larger) then they might actually be.
