Sec 17 GeoNodes - Procedural Buildings - align rotation to vector node

I am doing the exercise in Blender 5.01. The ‘Align Euler to Vector node’ is deprecated in Blender 5.0.

Hence, I tried with the ‘Align Rotation to vector’ node. But the rotations of the windows are not aligned with the normal of the cube Building. But it works properly with the deprecated node.

Please guide.

Thanks.

Janardhanan.

Are you doing your own node setup? If so you can set it up like this for it to work. If it’s following along the video and course, could you let me know what lecture and timestamp this node setup is in?

Yes. I am following your lecture on node setup in the latest Blender 5.01, where the node “Align Euler to vector” is deprecated. Hence, I tried with “Align Rotation to vector node”

Your lecture 172 of Sec 17: Creating a Procedural Building in "The Ultimate Blender 3d Geometry Nodes” - Time stamp 8.03.

Make sure to watch lecture 39 “Align Rotation to Vector” at 35 seconds in: https://www.udemy.com/course/geometry-nodes/learn/lecture/37459282#overview

Let me know if that helps!
