I wonder if anyone else has had the issue where their particle system goes away after they render out their animation? That happened with the nest in this animation. Also instead of the thatched roof acting as a canvas where the brush (egg in this case) was supposed to leave a gold trail it turned all the thatches into gold. A cool effect I must admit, but not what I was aiming for! So if anyone else has successfully worked with dyanmic paint and brush issues let me know Meanwhile, enjoy this piece:

Haven’t used dynamic paint much but are your thatches instances of 1 object? You may be able to select all of them and then Object>apply>visual geometry to mesh. Or possibly select all of them and then Object>Relations>Make single user>object and data and materials.(if the material is shared by all the objects coloring one would color all that are using that material.)
Also if the particle system goes away you may just need to bake the particle animation.

Darn. I forgot to bake it! Thanks! I’ll try to fix it per your suggestions. I have more to add to this. It is only the beginning ;-).
