Here are a few of my renders from the liquid, fire and smoke simulations from the Udemy Course. It’s a fantastic course and was really cool to learn what’s possible and the effects that can be created.
For the tornado I added some bricks and gave it a combined noise and wave texture as well as some subtle alternating colors to try and create the effect of chaotic wind.
I found liquid simulation was super cool; however, the standard blender implementation was also quite clunky in that you need to have a thick mesh for it to work, had caching issues, won’t work if the domain is too large etc. At some point I might look at exploring the Flip Fluids addon.
