Render of the jugs with 'sun texture":
I have doubts that the shadow rendering is accurate like in real life.
So, I rendered the ‘sun light’ with approximately the same angles as ‘sun texture’ and the shadow actually looks identical:
The shadows are probably correct with the sun at a low angle of 15 degrees, as the shadows are very long. However, subjectively, the image with ‘sun texture’ looks better to me than with ‘sun light’
