So I am in the midst of fleshing out what the art is going to look like for my 3d film idea. I thought I’d share the sword I have been working on. I used Grant Abbit’s base sword design and then went off to add my own textures, colors, and decorations to it. The custom elven script on the blade was made by me via GIMP, Inkscape, and FontForge. Using 2k textures at the moment but whatever the final draft for this protagonist sword will be it will use 8k or 16k textures. The blade texture is a custom made PBR. Let me know what you all think? I definitely want to improve the textures on this piece for sure. It would be on a protagonist character so there is a good chance of close up shots.
