What do you think of when you think of Pastry?

• Maybe a cake?
• A croissant?
• Maybe even a donut!?
• Or maybe it’s some kind of alien pastry?

Guidelines for the contest:

• 90% has to be done in Blender
• 90% and main focus of scene has to be made by you and cannot be addons or imported models
• Submission has to be submitted by 5/31/25 Midnight PST
• Only ONE submission RENDER per person
• “STILL IMAGE ONLY” (not an animation unless specified)
• Work has to be original and not copied from another artist
• Has to be a new project and not a render you did a long time ago

Prizes for Contest Winners:

• 1st place will receive a choice of one of my courses, $25 Amazon E-gift card (or $ sent to you via Paypal), be featured in the featured image section and a certificate!
• 2nd place will receive a choice of one of my courses and certificate
• 3rd place will receive a certificate

Well, here’s mine. Called “Pierre Pastry” (little wordplay on the F1 driver of Alpine).

I made a Bodding, which is a unique Belgian pastry. Recipe is pinned to the kitchen wall. Tasty!
Thanks again to Blenderkit for the free textures. The bodding texture I made myself, though. Took some pictures of a real one and made some texture maps from it with GIMP 3, which I used in Blender.

Hint: The Rhum REALLY makes the bodding come alive. Don’t skip the rhum!

It’s an actual recipe indeed The pastry is called Bodding
Typical Belgian stuff (apart from, you know, waffles, chocolate and beer)
