A snowy + green environment

I need some suggestions on this. Something about this image seems to be off. I am struggling to fix it. All opinions welcome :slight_smile:

In my opinion, It’s the focus, it’s destroying the right and left part of the image, the line of the mountain trees is so perfect you made a very good randomness on the trees instance but it seems like a straight perfect line between water and trees, make the flowers colors less they are kinda a lot but they need to be more vibrant for the contrast, the sky and fog are 10/10 I like them and I like the details under the water, overall good job It’s so good the details are sick It just needs very little adjustments

As for feedbacks, here are my two cents :

  • First thing that I noticed is the trees and flowers, it’s either the flower looks big or the tree looks short. This is assuming that the tree is somewhat tall enough, so maybe the tree could be bigger/taller.
  • There’s no clear separation or transition between the ground/grass and the water line. Especially the forest in the background, they look like submerged underwater. Looking at some references, the area near the water line usually somewhat more sandy or rocky. Maybe you can limit the grass (and forest) just about near the water line for easy fix.
  • There seems to be difference in cloud groups. Those in the background is somewhat long and stretched and those in midground is like clumps. Not sure if you used photo or VDB or a mix, but perhaps you could use similar shapes for all of the clouds for better view.
  • The lighting for the mountains look flat, try to match it with the one in the foreground which the sun rays seem to come from the right.
  • I noticed a strange trapezoidal shape/shadow in the water near the mid/center. Probably an object forgot to be hidden in render? lol

Feel free to tweak as you want it however. It’s a great scenery render, nevertheless. Like Menna I love the details underwater too. A great work overall, keep up the good work! :smiley:

Thank you man. Some amazing advice! Yes the trees were a tricky thing. It is actually quite short lol. Will change it. And yes i will also tweak the line between the land and water areas. That is some great suggestion. Glad you liked it and thank you for taking out the time to look into my artwork!

I just remembered reading about a park that submerged during certain time :

This way the trees and stuffs are indeed submerged and you won’t even need to worry about the water line :grinning:

Ahh thats interesting, i have also seen trees go under water here in my country. But yeah i should still make the edges of the cliffs a bit rocky. It will add to its realism

Wow this is awesome pranav! Looks great. The thing that looks off to me if I were to pick is how the land transitions into the water and the water itself. Some tweaking and messing around with it could help but otherwise looks great!
