    Creating stock photography for an electronic board game. An old project that I started 25 years ago, but not completed. The electronic part is a set of sounds, which indicates where a thief is walking on a game board. Goal is to locate the thief.

      I used  a hidden node ‘Velvet BSDF”
      Add node by search for “velvet”.

    What kind of poly count you doing?

      I’m trying to create some stock material to use as bitmaps in the board game. So poly count doesn’t count. For this picture frame I tried at first to use sculpting. But somehow I don’t understand sculpting for the n-th time. Other people are making beautiful sculpts. While my versions looks like spit out chewing gum. So I made some wobbly things with curves. I see it WIP and 1 hour projects.

    ISOMETRIC tiles to build the game map.  A WIP – door or window not clearly visible. Need to tweak this process.

    Created a basic set of tiles. With that I created my first room, but I don’t like it, it’s too ‘tiny’, door, windows, airvents. I’ll remap and make it compact. That’s why, it’s a Work-in-Progress.

    I compacted the game board, which leads to more details for furniture etc. It’s becoming a trail and error process. But what else can you do on a rainy Sunday.

      Can be, never played. But this version is al about sounds. You only hear sounds of footsteps, doors, windows, etc.. then you need to deduct where the thief is.

    It’s not going into the direction, I thought it could be.
    The concept is working, but details is difficult, due to the size of things. Lattice construct works, I’m glad for that. But it introduces coordinate GRID problems. So still WIP !!

      Thanks, it’s a project, from long long time ago.
      It’s a trail and error process. Not sure where it ends.
      The software program works, but the difficulty lies in the game board design. Which is flexible, but the outcome is a bit dull.

        That’s totally fine, throw stuff against the wall and see what sticks.
        It’s a passion project, it will end when you feel satisfied with it!! 🙂

    First floor plan, one of 4, in concept ready. I’ve used InkScape for node routes and merged Blender output in GIMP.
    My work flow is completed. All game parts are available as concept. Now fine tuning, debugging and finalizing.

    I made an update of the game splash screen. Project is getting bigger, computer getting slower. I still see some things I want to tweak. Maybe in a next round.

    Dude this is coming along great! I am excited now more than ever 😛 What you can do to help out computer is this: Put different parts of the scene into different collections and make those collections visible only when needed 🙂

    “Airvent” and still working on the last item, a window …
    All these items airvent, door, hatch, window are object where a thief can enter a building.
