Hey there. Before I ask my question. Check out this 3d Animation video and then continue reading.

    http://www.thingsrinit.com/avideolink.html

So I put this current animation based on a 2.7 tutorial provided by CG Master:

1 issues that I am having in this current Blend file:

Blend on same page as animation. Just click to download:

    Pendulum Films Open_V2.1.blend

At the very end a random trace particle is generated at the end. I can’t figure out why? Other than this I am pretty happy with particle result at the end of the video.

    Challenge 2

So I then ran into this tutorial by Blender Mania:

How to Make A 3D Sand Man Animation!

What I would like to do at the Start of the animation have the sand from the ground form the logo. But because the Tutorial is from Blender 2.7 I am having a difficult time trying to figure this out.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks

    James

I did something similar here https://youtu.be/GtgP93nSgEM. I made the simple dissolve animation and then reversed it in my video editor. It can be pretty tricky key framing the camera in reverse though. Then it will be fairly easy to blend in to the animation you already have. I would be sure to have at least 30 to 60 identical frames to transition though.

If I could just figure out where the “Keys” went in blender 2.8 from 2.7 I probably could figure out how to do this with out having to do any video reversing effect and just apply it to the animation.

I might have to give this a try in one of my projects. Thanks for sharing.

    I have  2 opinions.

#1- the planet rings need some form of texture. Anything to breakup the smooth plane.

#2 The sand particles need to leave the scene quicker. Whether the pendulum swings back or not, I feel swings back or not they need to have more urgency while exiting. I would try to match the velocity of the pendulum.

Again just my opinion, I’m no expert.

I do like so sound with no last swing, but I think the sand needs to be gone by that time.

Just an Eevee Render.  The planet rings actually do have texture.  But have to be rendered in Cycles…   I’ll upload my blend file in a bit.  Maybe you can play with the timing…   To get this far has been quite a struggle…

And now that I am watching it again, I added 200,000 particles.  Which it now looks like a wall forming the logo.  I need to fix that.  Needs to be more like a vortext movement
